In fact, renovation works are building interventions aimed at modifying existing buildings through the restoration, replacement, modification or elimination of old architectural elements or through the insertion of new elements and installations.


This is referred to as ordinary or extraordinary maintenance - all those "operations necessary to repair the existing finishes and materials of a building" (ordinary) or "all works necessary for the replacement and/or renovation of structural parts of the building" (extraordinary).
